Suggest Treatment For Umbilical Hernia

I'm a 40 year old woman. I'm in good shape...5'4", 124 pounds. I think I have an umbilical hernia. It sticks out more after I eat or drink something. Now, I'm spotting. Are these related? The umbilical "hernia" does ache more lately. It doesn't stick out like some of the pictures I've seen online. Mine (this bump or lump) is located just above my belly button. I haven't seen a doctor yet. Any recommendations, suggestions, or thoughts on the lump above my belly button and the spotting?

Hi,

If the symptoms is appearing after meal then it could be herniation but to rule out the umbilical hernia clinical examination is must here the differential diagnosis matters the great and beside the hernia the condition needs imaging studies because it may not be the hernia. Spotting is not related with the present condition you have, what the symptoms you have demands the medical attention.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
