Suggest Treatment For Ulcers On The Anterior Wall Of D1

In my Endoscopy few small superficial ulcers seen in anterior wall of D1. So, Dr. Mahesh kumar Goenka (Apollo Gleneagles Hospital, Kalkata) suggest me Ganaton*OD 150 mg capsule (Itopride hydrochloride).He suggest me 1 capsule daily morning before breakfast But I can not understand how long I take this capsule.

Hi.
Thanks for your query, albeit short and specific.
Noted the history and understood your concerns.
Since Endoscopy has shown small superficial ulcers in D-1 that is first part of duodenum, Ganaton OD containing Itopride should be taken for at least three weeks or as indicated by your Doctor till review endoscopy is being done.
Also needed are other forms of treatment.
PPI like Omeprazole.
Antacids when you are on empty stomach.
Soft bland diet in small divided forms into 4.
Avoidance of stress and anxiety which may be one of the most important reasons for ulcers in GI Tract.
