Hi, my son, who is 51, started having problems with his small intestine twisting since a young teenager, and landed him in the hospital on several occasions. Over a period of time he can tell when it is going to hit, so he keeps walking around the house and drinking large glasses of water and he found that helps to un kink it. He knows this kinkage is very dangerous, so what types of food would help this not to occur. He eats a lot of red meat, smokes, and occasional drink, but plans on quitting smoking soon. It s the read meat, eggs and sometimes heavy eating that I think could be a big part of this problem. Can you help?
