Suggest Treatment For Turbinate Hypertrophy And Snoring

Hi, I had septoplasty 13 years back, currently I am suffering from turbinate hypertrophy and snoring from past 6 years. I have taken Nasonex / flixonase over some period of time but not regularly. So if I take nasal meds regularly and avoid allergens, can turbinate hypertrophy condition be cured. Is the condition of turbinate hypertrophy curable or only manageable.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

* The turbinate hypertrophy with snoring indicate an obstructive disorder of the respiratory tract giving a variety of symptoms, which can emerge even once the surgery is performed.
* The palliative care will be with decongestant and steam inhalation, while revision surgery is the demand of time with due consideration of the quality of life.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
