My youngest sister was diagnosed with metastatic myaloma cancer on 2 October 2010
and had chemotheraphy and now has a tumor on the brain that is being treated with radiation. How successfull is this treatment. And what is the changes of recovery.
Hi, dear I have gone through your question. I can understand your concern. She has metastatic lesion in brain. Chemotherapy is not helpful in brain lesion. So she should required radiation treatment to control brain tumour. This treatment is palliative treatment only. It will not cure the disease. Ultimate prognosis is poor. Life expectancy is not good. Sorry to say but it is fact. Consult your oncologist and take treatment accordingly. Hope I have answered your question, if you have doubt then I will be happy to answer. Thanks for using health care magic. Wish you a very good health.
