Suggest Treatment For Tooth Infection And Blister On Gum

good evening. I have a three year old daughter who has a tooth infection (she had chipped both her two front teeth in September and they just began hurting on Saturday). We saw a dentist and they determined the teeth were infected and need to be removed (we have an appointment for Wednesday for this). To treat the infection we were given amoxicillin and ibprofen for pain. At the time we went in for the dental appointment there was a small pimple-like bump on my daughter s gum and her upper lip was very swollen. Now (5 days later), her gum has what looks like a blister as well as the pimple above her tooth, but her lip is not as swollen. This is the first time I have given her amoxicillin and I wanted to verify that it is working, also, does it normally smell a bit rotten (first time dealing with it)?

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The blister like structure over the gums and swollen lip is because of the abscess formation secondary to tooth infection. Nothing to be panic, antibiotics takes 5 days to work. After completing the course of antibiotics get the teeth removed.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.

Good evening chipping off of your daugthers tooth would have caused infection in the tooth hich has lead to pus formation below the roots and so you can see he pimple over the gums, the pimple is nothing but a path through which the pus can come out. Since you had ignored the problem for over a month the infection would have spread and lead to lip swelling. Amoxicillin has made the infection go down and also some smell is not a problem and it can be expected so nothing to worry it is working well. Since your daughter is three and the permanent tooth will come only by six i would recommend to get a little plate to maintain the space with false teeth in it be there till the permanent teeth of your daughter come.
