Suggest Treatment For Tonsillitis

My son is 6 years old and he has recently been diagnosed with tonsillitis. He is currently on Augmentin an antibiotic and ibusegic, fever medication. His feet are cold. The medication only seems to work for a short time. Should I take him back to the ER?

Dear user,

I really understand your concern about your son.

If the fever persists for more than three days or his tonsils become purulent, you should take him back to the ER.

Take care!
