Suggest Treatment For Tinnitus

Hi, I m 16 years old and since 5 days ago I m listening to this little peeeeee noise in my left ear when i m in a silent ambient, and it s getting REALLY annoying, seems like I can t hear 100% of things too.At first I tought it was a regular soundy everybody gets every now and then but it s really starting to get annoying, I m losing my freaking mind right here! seriously, and I stopped listening to music when outside a month ago.I m listening to music right now with headphones, so I don t get to listen this beeping sound anymore, can you help me find out what it is? I m going to wait a week, and if I still hear it I ll tell mom about it and ask for her to take me to the otolaryngologyst/audiologist or something.

Hi,

Ringing in ears can occur due to a number of causes like ear infection, perforated eardrum, excess ear wax accumulation, eustachian tube dysfunction, TMJ disorders etc. I would suggest you to consult an otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like audiometry, X-ray MRI can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly.

As you are not experiencing any ringing right now you can wait and watch and if you have ringing again you should consult a Physician soon, Also you should avoid using headphones a lot as excessive use of headphones and using headphones at high pitched sounds can also cause ringing.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
