Suggest Treatment For Tinnitus And Whooshing Sound In Ear

I have had tinnitus all my life, but a week ago I started hearing a whooshing sound in my right ear. I saw my PA and she said I have an ear infection. I have been on amoxicillin for two days and there is no sign of a let up. The whooshing is much worse when I am lying down. It is very annoying and keeps me awake. What can I do?

Hi,
Welcome to health care magic.
For your kind information oral antibiotic is not so much effective in the ear infection, it is absolute necessary to instill antibiotic ear drop two drops three times a day after cleaning the external auditory canal.
Avoid putting water, oil and ear bud in the external auditory canal.
