Steriods, antibiotics, nasal spray did not improve ear complaints. No complaints of nasal stuffiness, congestion, etc. but has what feels like sinus pressure/pain on left cheekbone area. Diagnostic tests: Audiogram revealed minor hearing loss in left ear as compared to the right, but still within normal limits (20) and was more apparent at low frequencies. VNG/ENG results normal. ENT said ear appears normal and no apparent fluid. PMH: 42 year old female; past surgery mulitilevel cervical spine fusion C5-C7 2 years ago. Only medication taken is Ramipril (Altace for mild hypertension) 5mg 1x/day. Otherwise healthy/no other conditions/no other significant PMH. Question: What is the likelihood this would represent a serious condition, and could it be related to prior neck surgery?
