Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation On The Arm

I have had upper left chest (right below the shoulder) pressure with numbing/tingling sensations down the left arm for a few days but it comes and goes. My left index finger tip has been numb for several days. I have had similar symptoms in the past that seemed to be gas, so I am not sure if it is gas or something more serious since it has lasted for several days.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello.

Every time you have such a presentation you will have to be evaluated with at least an EKG. I do not wish to alarm you but it is best to rule that out. Once that is ruled out you can go about taking antacids for your condition, drink plenty of water, avoid long gaps between meals, avoid smoking and alcohol and things should get better. Antacids like omeprazole, pantoprazole, ranitidine, etc; should help.

Best wishes
