Suggest Treatment For Tingling Sensation On Hands And Feet?

Hello, I am suffering of tingling sensation in my hands and feet, it started from my left palm then continue in right palm then toes of feet ... my doctor said that it is because of lack of vitamin D.. my thyroid level is 6.3...and also i feel strong desire to eat cement, chalk... Can u plz help

Tingling sensation on hands and feet could be caused by many medical conditions.The treatment of this condition will depend on the underlying cause.Possible causes may include:
-Hormonal imbalances including hypothyroidism( a possible cause in your case if your thyroid level was evaluated using TSH) .
Other possible causes:
-Peripheral neuropathy
-Diabetic neuropathy
-Neurologic problems like MS
-Ionic/metabolic imbaalnaces like low calcium, magnesium...
-Liver/kidney pathologies
-Vitamin deficiency
-Autoimmune disorders
-Alcohol
-And so may others.
The treatment of this condition will depend on cause.Only a good medical evaluation may help to reveal the cause.
I will suggest you see an Endocrinologist for a thyroid evaluation and he will judge need for thyroid hormone supplementation.If symptoms persist, other causes will have to be investigated.
