Suggest Treatment For Tingling In The Lower Legs And Feet

Hi. I have been experiencing a tingling in both of my feet, sometimes up my lower legs. I had an MRI on my lower back, and there doesn t appear to be anything there, that is causing this. I also have been having ongoing UTI s for the past 3 - 4 months, where I haven t had one in over 20 years. Could this be related?

Hi
Tingling sensation in legs and feet could be caused by a number of medical problems some of which are:
-Damage to a nerve
-Peripheral neuropathy
-Radiculopathy
-Diabetic neuropathy
-Panic disorder
-Ionic problems like low calcium or magnesium
Just to name a few.
A clinical evaluation by a Doctor or a neurologist with some work-ups like a Full blood count, complete ionogram, fasting blood sugar may help in primary evaluation.
The treatment of this condition will depend on the cause.Treatment options may range from supplementation in some minerals, vitamins, nerve stimulants just to name a few.I will suggest you see a Doctor for evaluation and management.
UTI for 3-4 months may or may not be related to this condition. However, a urinalysis/culture and sensitivity test will help to identify the germ and its antibiotic sensitivity. Recurrent UTI is common in some metabolic problems like diabetes which happens to be one of the things that could give you the symptoms you described.Only a simple Blood sugar test will tell.
Hope my answer will help you
Best regards
