Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain

For over two months I have a pain in my throat,when ever I swallow it s hard to do so,it stings real bad,and the pain moves up to both of my ears,which I have a sudden decrease in hearing and then a super long ring in my ear,they always have pressure and they hurt me everyday,and also a lot of popping and itching

Thank You for contacting HCM.

Throat infection can spread to ears via Eustachian (auditory tube). I would suggest you following things:
> Take amoxicilin/clavulanic acid 625mg thrice a day for 7 days
> Take hot water in a cup, add 1 table spoon salt in it. Perform gargles (mouth wash) with it three times a day for at least 3 days. It will give soothing effect.
> Take boiling water in a pot, put your head over the steam and cover whole with a sheet. Take deep breaths in it.(Avoid getting closer else it might cause burn). Do this twice a day.

AVOID:
> Chilled water
> Drinks
> Spicy food

Report to hospital if:
> Condition remain same after 2-3 days
> Any unusual symptom appears
> Condition deteriorates.
> There is difficulty in breathing.
