Suggest Treatment For Throat Pain And Constricting Feeling In Throat
sir hi i am feeling that something is present in my throat i have gone for my consultation with e.n.t after exam.he reffered me to a chest specialist he prescribed me with an anti -allergic once a day,theo asthalin twice a day. doc. i have taken it for 45 days but still it is not making me feel better and i feel that there is something in my throat i am worried that if there is something wrong makes me tense and no body is confirming me that i am suffering from which disease frequently i get infected with throat pain i use to take azithromycin 500 a day for 3 times as the doc. prescribed me.doc.sir plz. help me by giving me a valuable advice.thanks gaurav.

Constricting throat feeling can be simply by inflammatory swelling of posterior pharynx.
I have put this differential diagnosis first because you have history of frequent throat infection...
Second constriction lead suspician of asthma ....So for it confirmation spirometry that is pulmonary function test done...
If positive then you might prescribed for inhaler therapy by salmeterol.
Third tonsillar enlargement also can lead such symptoms....
So for rule out pharyngeal cause yes posterior pharynx examination done.
If floor of mouth inflamned with enlarge lymph nodes then Ludwig angina like infection also can be there.
If needed swab taken for sensitivity.
Discuss these with your treating doctor and follow his advise.
