Suggest Treatment For Throat Infection

Hi, i have a throat infection from last 30days. Initially i just ignored it but later i went to doc and prescribed me azithromycin once in a day. But it did not work. Later doc suggested me to take cifran 500x2 with betadine gurgle. I dont have any cough or fever. Only have light Pain on throat and neck.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

The symptoms seem to be related to tonsillitis. I see that you have already started a cycle of antibiotics, so I suggest to continue Cifran twice a day for a week.

I also suggest using anti-inflammatory medications such as Ibuprofen to relieve the symptoms. I suggest drinking liquids and rest.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
