Suggest Treatment For Thickened Endometrium
Hi Doc. I went to my o.b gyne Then i said that my period is every 20th of the month. Then again i had my period on May 3 and it last for 2 weeks above. Then she said she want to do biopsy so she will know if it s cancerous or no. But i m still virgin so i don t want doc. She gave me first primolut to stop the bleeding. Then they did ultrasound and the result is endometrium is thickened 1.58c.m. And i have also bilateral polycystic ovaries to be ruled out. Doc please tell me what to do. Please Doc. Thank you.

Thick endometrium demands prompt diagnosis & specific treatment ....Thickness of endometrium can be due to infection & inflammation of endometrium/Hormonal imbalance /poly-cystic ovaries.
Poly- cystic ovaries is characterized by - A typical USG picture of multiple immature follicles being arranged in periphery of ovary .. the number of theses cysts being more than 12./ Insulin resistance & increased body weight/ absent ovulation/Dominance of male hormones indicated by excessive facial hairs
You doctor would go through various tests to confirm/ exclude PCOD/ in.
* In case there is no other cause found doctor may demand for endometrial biopsy ( with miner surgery ).. & you should allow it... this is going to be final aid of diagnosis .
Endometrial cancer is considered as a possibility, specially in thickened endometrium & in women who had been never pregnant.
Whatever the cause it- early diagnosis& prompt treatment is going to help. So please don't be stressed- be brave, act fast & get success.
