I read your query and I understand your concern. Tension type headache is the most common type of headache, experienced by most people at one time or the other during their lifetime, often exacerbated by stress. It is a primary headache, primary meaning that no identifiable cause can be found. In your case though your husband has high fever, so at least this current episode can t be classified as a tension type headache, perhaps your doc would say the same if he knew you have a fever. It could be influenza or some other viral illness. If the fever persists over 3 days or has other signs you should head to the doctor again to look for other infection causes. In the meanwhile try over the counter non steroid inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen for the fever and the aching. I hope to have been of help.
