Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

There are a few different areas of the ribcage. The location and movement of pain gives clues as to what is going on. If the pain is in the joints connecting the ribs to the sternum, then it is joint pain and Aspirin like anti inflammatory medication are the choice. Aspirin itself is best for this. If it is the muscles, then there is the question of why the muscles are sore and then Aspirin like drugs are again a good choice. If it is the lung, then evaluation needs to be done.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
