Suggest Treatment For The Canker Soreness On The Tongue

I have a canker sore on the side of my tongue that rubs up against my teeth. I have gotten them before and have things to treat them, but never in this spot. It has made everything difficult, eating, drinking, and even talking. I have had this for about 4 days and they usually clear up by now but because it is constantly being irritated by any movement in my mouth it is not going away. What

are some other things I can do. I have a mouth sore treatment I apply it to 4 times a day and am also using a mixture of half water and half peroxide to rinse my mouth with. Is there anything else I can do?

hello thanks for consulting at hcm..

did you have episode of fever previous to that canker sore??

it could also be due to recurrent apthous ulcers which occurs on the buccal mucosa,,you can also apply topical anesthetics such as mucopain to reduce the pain.. since already you are applying mouth sore treatment 4 times daily and also mouth washes,,it should suffice,,

how ever you could get coronoplasty-trimming of sharp teeth surfaces ,, since tongue is rubbing against the teeth,, it may help in faster healing,,it will take 5-6 days to heal,,
also try blowing air with mouth closed, so that teeth doent touch the tongue surface,,

Kindly consult a oral physician for a check up and treatment,,
hope it helps,, take care
