Reactive TPHA indicate that your brother is suffering from syphilis which is sexually transmitted disease. Your brother must have acquired this disease by unprotected sexual intercourse. This is a curable disease. Get tested for other sexually transmitted infections.
Advice
1. Injection Benzathine penicillin G 2.4 million units (Injection Penidure LA 24) intramuscularly once weekly– only 3 injections
Sensitivity test is mandatory before taking injection of penicillin. Tests will become negative after complete treatment.
2. Investigations
a. HIV screening
b. Australia antigen
c. HCV DNA
