General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi
Thank you for asking HCM
I have gone through your query. A single dose of Benzathine penicillin G 2.4 million units IM will be enough to cure syphilis. But you should have a follow up with your physician and refrain from sexual intercourse before getting cured. Further doses will be required for those who fails to respond. Serological test will show negative slowly after getting rid off infection.
Hope this may help you. Let me know if anything not clear.
Thanks.
