Suggest Treatment For Swollen White Heads On The Forearms

Hello, I have a single white head spot on my forearm, had it for quite a while, this morning it had swelled and now it has grown into a bump about 2 inches around the spot and a marked redness is now travelling up my arm under the skin... could it be serious? Should I attempt to pop it?

Hello!
I have been through your question.
According your symptoms I think this is an infected spot with limphangitis (inflammation of the lymphatic channels). The most probably cause of this infection is staphylococcus. Getting rid of pimples by popping it will lead into more inflammation and redness, severe infection and damage your skin.In this case I think you should apply a soak a clean towel into a bowl of warm water and apply it onto the pus-filled pimple and after clean the drainage with a cotton ball soaked in saline solution to prevent further infection. Usually in this situation I would prescribe an oral antibiotic like amoxicillin or ampicillin if you aren't allergic. But to take an oral antibiotic you should talk with your doctor.
I hope my answer help you.
I wish a quick recovery.
