Suggest Treatment For Swollen Tonsils

Had strep pharyngitis - treated with amoxil. Then tonsils remained swollen (have been swollen x 2 years). treated with prednisone 60mg x5days. now strep - but tonsils still swollen and occluding orifice from mouth to pharynx. able to eat and drink but feel horrible. any suggestions?

You have chronic tonsilltis. so after treating the present infection with a short course of antibiotics, plan for surgery i.e. tonsillectomy
