Suggest Treatment For Swollen Optic Nerve While Having Diabetes

I am 30 yrs old 295lbs 6ft tall male, about 6 weeks ago I all of a sudden woke up with cloudy vision in my right eye, I had gone to an eye doctor 4 days later to have an exam done since I have diabetes and had explained the situation, he had done all tests he could think of to do and everything came back normal, the only conclusion he could come up with is my optic nerve was swollen. is there anything I can do to get it to ease up so my vision will go back to normal?
