Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Node In The Neck

Hi there, I went for a dentist visit 4 wks ago. Upon examination the doctor told me that a lymph node on the left side of my neck is enlarged and I d better consult with my family physician. I made an appointment, but before I could visit my doctor I got a very bad cold (sorethroat, cough, sneeze, etc and used some antibiotics (prescribed by another doc cause I was traveling for work). Upon my return, I met with my own doctor and got an appointment to do an ultrasound. Today, the ultrasound technician told me that the node is calcified and I need to see my doctor for next steps. The lymph node is around 1.5 cm, the size has not changed. it s sore to poke. I cough too. and I feel some pain in my chest

Thanks for your query, I have gone through your query.
The swollen and calcified lymphnodes can be seen in infectious conditions like tuberculosis, histoplasmosis and non infectious conditions like cancerous lesions in the head and neck region. So consult a oral physician and get it evaluated. Once the diagnosis is confirmed, it can be treated accordingly.
I hope my answer will help you, take care.
