Suggest Treatment For Swollen Lymph Glands In Neck

Hi im 26 year old female i have had swollen lymph glands in my neck for 1 year to my knowledge. I have been to the doctors had antibiotics ans they havent reduced in size the doctor just said some people do have enlarged glands and sent me away. Now i am concerned 1 year later and they are still here and ive been looking online and i am very worried about lymphoma so i went back to the doctors and they did a cbc which came back normal, a chest xray which was normal and i saw an ent specialist who wasnt concerned but he sent me for an us of the neck for my own piece of mind. I had the ultrasound and the doctor said there were several but they were all within the range they could be and they didnt look abnormal in shape etc he said if i had lost weight etc then he would of sent me for more tests but he said he doesnt think its necessary now i am not happy with what they have said what can i do?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

I have gone through your query and can understand your concerns..

Aa per your complain, it is true that swollen lymph nodes in the neck can be due to infection in head and neck region and condition is known as Reactionary Lymphadenopathy and such lymph nodes are mostly tender and mobile..
Although the swelling of lymph nodes decrease in size once the infection is resolved and can take longer time to resolve as compared to resolution of infection but it will not continue for one year and you should consult an Otolaryngologist or Oral Surgeon and he can advise you to get a Biopsy or FNAC done and treatment can be done accordingly..
As of now do warm compresses over the lymph nodes ..

Hope this information helps..

Thanks and regards..
