Suggest Treatment For Swollen Ear After Injury

our 5 year old son was hit in the ear by a frinds play sword. he didn't complain about pain or anything, but suddenly the ear has turned bright red and is VERY swollen. I've read that it could be "cauliflower ear," but I'm not totally sure of that. He is seeing the Dr tomorrow, since it is so swollen and red. He says it is also hot (you can feel to the touch that it is warm), and he has a tiny amount of ringing he says. There is no apparent hearing loss or drainage of any sort. Any thoughts?

Hi dear
welcome to the HCM,
Trauma to ear leading to some infection.
Probably child is developing cellulitis.
Needs to be treated with good relevant antibiotic, anti inflammatory, analgesic drug immediately to stop the flaring of the infection.
Hope the query is answered.
thanks
