Suggest Treatment For Swollen Ankles, Arthritis And Sciatica In Hip
Hi, I had a mild heart attack 7 weeks ago and had 3 stints put into my artery in the heart that was 90% blocked. Take Plavix 75 mg a day along with Lipitor 40 mgs a day and a baby aspirin all new medications. My ankles seem to be more swollen than usual and they ache bad. Sometimes Tylenol does not help much. Can you give me any reason for this. Also, have arthritis and sciatica in hip. I am 70 years old and was always on the go. Now I do a lot of running around and I get more tired then I used to, thanks

I have gone through your and being your physcian ii completely understand your health concerns.
for how long u are suffering from it? any other associated problem? like diabetes or hyptertension?
In context of ur history, swollen ankles are most probably due to the heart problem . what is ur BP reading? you should meet ur CARDIOLOGIST and discuss about the ANKLE swelling. he will decide whether u need DIURETIC or not , meanwhile stay calm and continue with ur medications and avoid salt intake.
As far as the SCIATICA and arthritis is concerned , you need to modify ur lifestyle. sciatica usually exacerbates with vigorous activities and bending, u need to avoid these. you should use pain killers along with the muscle relaxants to relieve these symptoms. if the problem persists then meet orthopedic surgeon.
