Suggest Treatment For Swollen And Painful Ankle

I sprained my ankle nearly two weeks ago. I have had an X-ray, which shows no break. But in the last few days it is becoming more painful to touch it. The swelling has not gone down at all, I have no ankle definition. Also in the past few days my whole foot is feeling cold and even colder in my toes. I am also finding it harder to walk on it. It is not in a cast or with any support. Is this normal and can you offer any help / advise?

Hi..Can understand your concern....As per your query about swelling and pain in ankle due to injury may have got ligaments and muscles damage or spasm due to which there is pain and inflammation.I advice you to take NSAID along with a muscle relaxant like Aceclo MR thrice a day and apply topical diclofenac gel like volini 2-3 times and wear a creep bandage over the ankle joint for proper immobilization for few days .You should get relief by this ..If not you need to visit a orthopaedic doctor for proper examination.I hope the information helps you.Take care.
