Suggest Treatment For Swelling On Nose After Sebaceous Cyst Removal
I got a sebaceous cyst removal surgery done about 3 days ago. It was on the right side of my nose. And the swelling is still there! He had to put 10 ccs of freezing and dissolvable stitches. He said that the swelling would go away in a couple hours but it's now been 3 days. Is this normal?
I have gone through your query and can understand your concern..
As per your complain swelling after any surgical procedure is a common finding and occurs due to inflammation of the soft tissues due to trauma caused during surgery..
As it is 3 days you need not to worry and wait for another 2 to 3 days and in case if still you do not find improvement or if the condition still worsen consult your treating surgeon and get evaluated.. As of now you can do cool compresses over the swelling.. Take anti-inflammatory painkillers like Ibuprofen.. Maintain proper hygiene and keep the area dry and clean..
Hope this information helps..
Thanks and regards. Dr.Honey Nandwani Arora..
