Hi, this is Dr. Subhadeep. Thank you for the opportunity to help you. From your description it appears that you have a stye , also called a horde oleum externum. It is an infection of the glands on your eyelid margin. You should apply warm compresses using a clean towel or a wad of cotton over closed eyelid. Do this for at least 30 minutes in a day. With application of heat repeatedly, the pus trapped inside will come out and relieve the swelling. take care to wipe off any pus/discharge that comes out using either a clean earbud or washing with plain water. You also need to apply an antibiotic eye ointment over the lid margin and inside the eye at bedtime. you can use eye ointment ciprofloxacin or moxifloxacin. In the daytime you can apply eye drops ofloxacin - 1 drop 3 times a day. With the above treatment your symptoms should subside within 3-4 days. I hope this information will be useful to you. Kindly let me know if it was helpful. Thanks, Dr.Subhadeep
Appears to be infected boil. give hot compression and oralantibiotic like ezythrocin 500 mg daily for 5days. consult eye doctor and if required can be incised so that pus will come out.
