A sting or bite of insect injects venom composed of proteins and other substances that may trigger an
allergic reaction. The sting also causes redness and swelling at the site of the sting.
Epi pen is used in anaphylaxis reaction. You don’t need it. However, if you have any sign of anaphylaxis such as breathing difficulty, low blood pressure, nausea/vomiting,
throat constriction,
unconsciousness etc, then immediately go to hospital.
