Hi Dear , As per your query you have sweats and chills along with a sore throat during night . Well there can be many reasons for symptoms you mention in query like hyperthyroidism , infectious mononucleosis, meningitis, pneumonia, influenza, colds, bacterial or viral gastroenteritis, strep throat and urinary tract infections . Conditions like stress and depression also give such symptoms . But in your case it seems to me that the symptoms are due to upper respiratory track infection that is sore throat . I would suggest you to consult ENT specialist for proper examination . Doc tor may order throat swab test , viral culture test and examination with laryngoscope . Doctor may prescribe anti bacterial ( amoxicillin or penicillin ) , anti viral and anti inflammatory .
