I had an episode of supravertricular tachycardia last night. took metoprolol and eventually my heart rate decreased. felt dizzy and weak. now just feeling tired and weak, BP is 88/66 and pulse is 66. Should I go get an EKG today to determine if there could be possible damage to my heart?

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

Once the rate is controlled nothing much to worry. However ECG is required to look for any conduction anomaly or arrhythmia.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr. Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
