Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I got a severe sunburn on my face this past Saturday at the lake. My forehead is now very swollen and I threw up. My lymph nodes seem to be swollen too. I m starting to blister and peel as well. Do I have sun poisoning? Is there anything I can do at home to help the swelling and nausea?
Your symptoms seem to be related to a sunburn. Some suggestions that I can give are:
Take a pain reliever.
Cool the skin.
Apply a moisturizer, lotion or gel.
Drink water to prevent dehydration.
Leave small blisters alone.
For severe sunburn, try an over-the-counter Hydrocortisone cream, which may ease the discomfort.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi, General & Family Physician
