Suggest treatment for sunburn , fever and headache

I am asking this question on behalf of my mate. He is 66 years old and his entire torso is sensitive to touch, as if he has a bad sunburn. He can t stand to take a shower or to feel the sheets on the bed. He also is having severe headaches that feel like an electrical shock. He came down with what he thought was a cold, then he traveled by plane and once he arrived at his destination, he had a fever, chills and felt he had the flu. He has traveled back to NYC and for the past two weeks he has had the sensitive skin and severe headaches. He is fatuqued, weak and unable to sleep. He has a history of cold sores. What do you think he may have?

Hi.
As per your complete case-history my probable diagnosis is Viral exanthem. it is condition which appears along with viral flu symptoms.
My treatment advice-
1. Don't worry it is self-limiting condition.
2. Take plenty of fluids. Take food rich in vitamin-C like lemon, orange, amla.
3. Apply a calamine plus aloe-vera lotion on entire trunk twice daily.

Consult a general physician for fever and head-ache.

Thanks.
