I got a sunburn on my nose 2 days ago. yesterday I noticed a bun on white heads on my nose. When i tried to pot them it just lifted up skin. I though i was peeling, but its a thick layer of skin. and once I peel it off it stings and is oozing. whats wrong and is there treatment?
Acute sunburn can be very painful and discomforting.
If I was the treating doctor I would suggest you to take a short course of an oral steroids. Oral steroids are rapidly acting and immediately bring down the sweeling and discomfort.
In addition to that you could use topical moderately potent topical steroid e.g fluticasone propionate cream, twice daily for a week.
An OTC pain killer/anti-inflammatory e.g ibuprofen or aspirin can be taken twice or thrice daily to relieve the pain and discomfort.
Always use a broad spectrum sunscreen, throughout the day.
