Suggest Treatment For Stuck Cotton In Ear

I used a cotton bud to clean my ear and the cotton part moved back down the stick and jabbed the ear drum with the hard end. Immediate sharp pain and now bleeding. Do I need to do anything to stop it getting worse and also I am due to fly in 2 days? Thanks.

You could have injured a part of the ear canal while hitting it with the hard end of the ear bud, it is advised to see a ENT specialist who can carefully remove the cotton as it may lead to otitis infections if not removed soon. Do not wet it. If bleeding persists, report to Emergency Room, also if hearing is impaired you need to visit a doctor urgently.
