Hi,I am Dr. Alexander H. Sheppe (Psychiatrist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just lost my 90 yr old father to suicide. The funeral arrangements and burial are all over with. during the period of time that i was meeting with family, making the arrangements, and calling police, coroner, and funeral home I had an episode of chest pain. This pain was centrally located in my chest and radiating to my back and up to my jaw on the right. It was intense and scary. I was alone in a fast food drive thru (which i would rarely frequent). It lasted maybe 5-7 min. Since then I have been hearing and feeling my heart pounding in my head and I have a heavy chest. Also I have often been experiencing the painful muscle burning head snap when quickly turning my head. I understand that much of this is the stress and emotional distress that I have endured but I would just like an M.D. s opinion.

Suggest Treatment For Stress And Chest Pain
Hello The emotional and physical stress which you are facing can be a cause to this. But when the symptoms of shooting pain in chest and radiating to jaw appear, an ECG is alwaus advisable to rule out a cardiac cause. You can take tablet rivotril (prescription drug) when stress and anxiety are intense. Thanks.
