Suggest Treatment For Stone In The Urinary Bladder

Hi I am Basically 57 years old recently had an open surgery to remove a 5 cm stone in my urinary bladder which was removed after almost 3 years.A well defined ,mucosal based soft tissue attenuation lesion approx 65x61x40 mm is still there in the urinary bladder arising from rt lateral wall and bulging into the lumen. During my operation cystoscopy was also done and a sample was taken for biopsy from the mass which shows it to be Florid sqameous metaplasia with cystitsis. Should i get myself operated again and get this mass out as its cell could become malignant.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

The current lesion in the bladder indicates obvious pathology in terms of metaplasia with the possibility of malignancy from chronic inflammation and cellular changes.

In my clinic, I recommend immediate MRI of the pelvis, radical surgery with postoperative management as per the biopsy report.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
