Hi,I am Dr. Radhakrishna (Gastroenterologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I just went in for a check up and was told I'm 1cm dilated. It's been 3 weeks since I was. I am 38 weeks and 5 days. But after I came home two hours later, my upper stomach seemed to have gotten bigger and was extremely tight. Tried to lay down and rest, but it's an hour later and still the same. What should I do?
Hello and welcome to HCM, Distension and tightness of abdomen should be investigated. An ultrasound of the abdomen will help to determine the cause of abdominal distention and tightness. There is a possibility for the gravid uterus to be responsible for the distention and tightness , thus, consult your gynaecologist as soon as possible.
Thanks and take care Dr Shailja P Wahal
