Suggest Treatment For Squint Eye
is there treatment for squint eye in Ayurveda,
case summary 23rd august 2012
baby pragna, 3 years 9 months old female presented to us on 9/4/2012 with complaint of squinting eyes outwards from 3 years 6 months of age on examination her uncorrected visual acuity was 6/18p in the right eye and 6/9 in the left eye with lea symbol chart (single optotype). HIRSCH BERG'S showed 15 right exotropia. cover test for distance revealed right exotropia (a hernating )
and for near revealed IDS with right exotropia. fundus examination showed normal fundus. cyclorefraction was done. power of +/- / - 2.5 DC X 180 which improved to her visusion 6/15 in right eye and +/- / - 1.25 DC X 180 which improved to 6/12 in left eye. she was reviewed after 3 months. her best corrected visual acutiy improved to 6/9 both eyes. finding with cover tests and hirschberg's was same as before. PBTC showed 50 PD base in deviation for distance and near with glasses. she was advised to undergo surgery for squint correction

1. since Eye specialist has done Examination and come upto some Inference thus you should first plan according to his judgement, or you may seek a second opinion from PD Ophthalmologist/ squint specialist.
2. squint in children improve or reduces on its own, and because it is a kind of refractive error thus wearing glasses can correct the problem to some extent.
3. since Age is small, thus I won't suggest any Ayurveda treatment, only constant observation and Reviewing him periodically will decide the outcome
