Hello,

Your symptoms are clearly indicative of allergic reaction. At times the reaction can be severe leading to the symptoms to be on a worse side. But it can still be controlled.

If an allergic test is done for confirmation of protein allergy then it is fine otherwise it is advisable to first get an allergy test done for confirmation.

For now, you can give her anti-allergy medicine like Benadryl or Levocetirizine. You can also get steroid shot if symptoms are severe. Do cool compresses over the rashes or cold water bath. Apply Caladryl or calamine lotion to soothe the skin.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Honey Arora
