Suggest Treatment For Spasms And Cramps In The Calves

Hello, after a few days on this medicine, my feet and ankles are swollen. Would it be from the medicine? My Dr ordered it as I have been having muscle spasms, muscle cramps in my calves and feet for weeks. I saw my dr a few days ago and told him for a week, while trying to go to sleep, i have annoying creeping crawling jitters in my upper back and upper arms. Legs and Feet would be cramping were I couldn t sleep and up and down out of bed. I do have RLS . The sensation was driving me crazy with the pain in the upper back. My Dr ordered Clonazepam 0.5 mg at bedtime. It put me into a deep sleep , but I get up 2-3 times at time to urinate . My husband was concerned that I would fall as I was in a deep sleep while on the toilet at 3 -4 am. I am 67 yrs old. So I m wondering if my swollen feet and ankles could be from this medication. Thank you..... Mary Eads
