Suggest Treatment For Soy And Gluten Intolerance

Hello, I am trying to figure out what is happening with my step mother. Her entire life she has eaten wheat, dairy, soy, and gluten. Within the past two years she has suddently started getting really sick when eating any of the above. She keels over for days on end vomitting with diarrhea (more so with the gluten and soy). Is it possible to develop allergies at age 40, and that severe. Or could it potentially be something else?

Hello...
According to your description it seems Allergy to food. You also mentioned specifically with Gluten and Soya. If you noticed it then it may be Gluten sensitivity called Coeliac Disease. It is a type of Irritable bowel Syndrome (IBS).
Allergy to food or any specific allergy disease can appear at any age. So in my opinion., contact a Gasteroenterologist to confirm the disease by doing various tests like Endoscopy, allergens teats, stool test.Mean while avoid those food that cause upset in stomach

Thank you
