Suggest Treatment For Soreness On Wrist

Hey, I hurt my wrist at work today, it s not sprained, just sore. I think I pulled a muscle. I am wearing a wrist splint with a tensor bandage wrapped around it. The tensor bandage alone does not provide enough support to keep me from bending it, but the splint alone is a bit loose. Together my wrist feels much better but I want to make sure it s not bad for me. It is not tight enough to cut off the blood flow. What do you think?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
hi. I have read your problem and understand your concern.
I would like to know if you can move your fingers freely and after applying the splint does the colour of your fingers go dark?
Avoid too much tight bandage as it may compromise blood supply.
Avoid lifting weights with your affected hand for a while.
If a person comes to me with pain at the wrist joint with swelling, I would suggest him an x-ray of his wrist joint as well as use of Tab diclofenac 50mg twice a day for 3 days.
Wish you good health.
