Suggest Treatment For Soreness On The Hip After A Fall
I slipped and fell on a wooden wheel chair ramp a few days ago and landed on my butt. I had the wind knocked out of me BADLY. Next day was horrible but each day got a little better. The pain is on my right side of my back just below my armpits and goes around my ribs. Sometimes it's just sore but other times it's like an electric shock. I barely felt it yesterday until I lifted my 7 months old daughter over the table to hand over to a friend while we were out to eat. That electric shock went all the way down to my hip and now today I'm extremely sore along my entire right side of my back including the middle of my left side.
Pain can increase to its highest level days after an injury occurs. The initial discomfort may be mild but it increases as the days continue.
It is likely soft tissue injury which is injury to the muscles and other soft surrounding tissue. The use of anti inflammatory pain killers should help. This includes medications such as ibuprofen, cataflam, naproxen, celebrex etc
If the pain persists or worsens then you should see your doctor for assessment.
I hope this helps
