Suggest Treatment For Soreness In The Chest

My 12 year old son is complaining of chest soreness when he takes a deep breath. It seems to come and go for the last few weeks. There are no other symptoms. Should I be concerned? He does have exercise induced asthma and it's not an asthma attack, it almost seems to be heartburn.

Thanks for your question on Healthcare Magic.
I can understand your concern.
Chest soreness in child is mostly due to musculoskeletal cause.
So better to follow these steps for better symptomatic relief.
1. Tell him to avoid movements causing pain, avoid sudden jerky movements of chest.
2. Give him simple painkiller like paracetamol or ibuprofen.
3. You can also cause apply warm water pad on affected areas of chest.
Don't worry, he will be alright with all these in 2-3 days.
Hope I have solved your query. I will be happy to help you further. Wishing good health to your son. Thanks.
