Suggest Treatment For Sore Throat

I have had an oddly sore throat all day, it feels like I m swallowing my uvula. when i look in the mirror, i have a really veiny looking throat and orangey-red spots on the back of my throat and what looks like a canker sore on my uvula. My uvula is also really long and touches the back of my tongue. Its not necessarily painful, but rather uncomfortable. I m sort of worried, as i am visiting my boyfriend and i don t want to get him sick if i kiss him. what could this be? and do you think it s contagious? how can i get rid of it?

Hi,

Welcome to HCM,

I had gone through your question and understand your concerns.

According to your description, it could be granular pharyngitis. It is contagious ( by kissing). you require antibiotics and antiinflammatory medication. kindly evaluate with an ent surgeon. meanwhile do salt water gargling.

Hope, I have answered your query, all the best, take care.
